Volunteering is and always will be at the heart of Cats Protection. It is joyful and inclusive. As a charity, working in partnership, together we transform the lives of cats, people and communities.
We take excellent care of cats and kittens that need help, but life in a rescue environment is not ideal for any cat compared to a loving home. Until we can find them that loving home our cat care volunteers are a passionate, committed team, helping to give cats and kittens the best possible care. Cat care volunteers spend time directly with cats, cleaning their pens, feeding, grooming and enriching their play time.

Morning Cat Care
Every other Saturday
9:00am – 11:00am
As a Morning Cat Care Volunteer, you’ll be supporting our dedicated team with essential daily tasks, including:
Volunteers attending morning sessions are also welcome to stay afterwards to enjoy some rewarding cat socialisation time.
No previous experience is required just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine love of cats. We ask all volunteers to be able to commit regularly and work well as part of a team.
Full training will be provided.
If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to the centre for an induction where you’ll meet the team and learn more about the role, ensuring it’s the right fit for you.
Please note: Applicants must be 18 years old or over and this is an every other week commitment.
Cat care volunteers usually spend 2 to 3 hours a week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
